Q & A
When should I RSVP?
Please RSVP before January 1st, 2027.
If you do not RSVP by Jan 1st we will mark you as not attending.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony begins promptly at 15:00.
Driving yourself? Please arrive between 14:15 and 14:45 to find parking and take your seat.
Taking the shuttle? The shuttle aims to drop guests off at 14:30.
How can I get to the wedding venue?
Gosford House is a 35-minute drive from central Edinburgh. You have three options:
Drive: Free parking is available on-site.
Shuttle Bus: Details TBD.
Taxi: Public transit is limited. If you are not driving or taking the shuttle, you must pre-book a taxi as ride-shares are unavailable in this area.
What time is the reception scheduled to end?
The venue has a 23:45 curfew. The final shuttle bus will be leaving shortly after this time.
Will there be an open or cash bar?
An open bar will be provided. A range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks will be available.
What should I wear?
The dress code is Black Tie Optional.
We ask that you avoid wearing white or any adjacent tones. This includes beige, pearl, ivory, taupe, champagne, pale pastel 'butter cream' yellow and any similar colours. Our photographer has advised that these may appear as white in photographs.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
No. Please keep all phones and cameras turned off and put away until we are officially pronounced married.
After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you like.
Are children welcome?
We ask that they are not present during the ceremony to minimise risk of disruption. A babysitting service will be provided throughout the entire day to support this. Children are very welcome at the event otherwise.
Do you have a registry?
Your company is the only gift we need, especially since most of our guests are travelling.
Our registry will be up soon — check back here a little closer to the day.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony and festivities will be completely inside.
Will a shuttle be provided for the welcome party or the day after brunch?
No. The welcome party is in central Edinburgh and easily accessible by public transit or taxis.
The brunch is in Bo'ness at our home. We recommend those staying in Edinburgh take a train to Linlithgow and get a taxi through Express Taxis, which will be an 8-minute taxi to our house.
I have a question that isn’t covered here.
